Canal in the historic centre of Dordrecht where boats have to pass under the bridge of the medieval town hall.
Picknick
In between the streets in the historic centre of Dordrecht there is an inner court that once belonged to a monastery. Now children use it as a playground, people come and sit on one of the benches or have a picknick like these neighbours. A quiet place in the middle of a busy city.

High above the canal
Canals in an old city centre always are a challenge for any builder. These house painters are not deterred by the water and have built their scaffold right in the canal. But it was the repetition of the colour blue that has drawn my attention in the first place.
